A £2.2m pay and play community tennis centre has opened in Shropshire.
The eight-court, indoor and outdoor centre has opened at Oakengates Leisure Centre in Telford as part of a school complex with community services.
It was funded by Telford & Wrekin Council, the Department for Education and the Lawn Tennis Association.
The centre replaces Sutherland Business and Enterprise College in Trench and is part of the council's scheme to upgrade school buildings in the borough.
David Sidaway, the council's head of property, said: "We hope that people of all ages and abilities will use the centre and we have a comprehensive coaching programme in place to help people improve their game."
