Rings and jewellery stolen from house in Telford

Forty rings and other jewellery worth at least £10,000 have been stolen from a house in Telford.

Thieves apparently forced open a window at the front of the house in Cygnet Drive and emptied a jewellery box on a bed, police said.

More than £1,000 of damage was also caused as a result of the break-in.

The incident happened at some point between 10:00 GMT on Saturday and 18:30 GMT on Sunday, the West Mercia force added.
