Three arrested over Six Ashes cannabis seizure

Three people have been arrested after police found about 1,000 cannabis plants in Shropshire.

Police went to a property in Six Ashes on Wednesday to investigate claims electricity was being used illegally.

A man in his 50s was held on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and abstracting electricity and later bailed.

A woman in her 50s was held on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and abstracting electricity. She was also bailed.

The third person, a man in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and remains in custody, a police spokesman said.
