Woman released after Bridgnorth stabbing

A woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on police bail.

A man, thought to be in his 50s, was found by ambulance staff at a house in Tasley Close, Bridgnorth on Friday.

He was airlifted to hospital in Birmingham suffering from stab wounds to his chest.

West Mercia Police said the injuries were less serious than first thought and were not believed to be life-threatening.

The woman arrested at the scene was released on Saturday, officers said.
