Armed robbery at Telford bookmaker shop

Hundreds of pounds have been taken in an armed robbery at a betting shop in Shropshire.

A male member of staff was threatened with a small knife in the incident, which happened at about 08:30 BST in The Parade in Donnington, Telford.

He was "extremely shaken", West Mercia Police said.

The offender, who had a makeshift mask covering his face, was described as being about 5ft 7ins to 6ft tall and wearing a grey hooded top.

He was also wearing dark coloured bottoms and possibly a beige coloured jacket.
