Work is to be carried out on a road bridge which has "corroded significantly", Shropshire Council has said.

It said the Tern Hill No 1 bridge, which carries the A41 over the River Tern, requires maintenance to ensure it is structurally safe in the long-term.

Four large-diameter corrugated steel pipes which make up the bridge will be strengthened using structural liners.

The proposed work is scheduled to start on 2 June and last four months.
