Five arrested after 20-person 'affray' in Telford

Five people have been arrested following an "affray" involving up to 20 people that left a teenage girl in a critical condition in hospital.

The disturbance happened at Woodside housing estate in Wigmores, Telford, at 21:20 GMT on Friday.

A 24-year-old woman and four men, aged 25, 29, and two 33-year-olds, all from Woodside, have since been released under investigation.

Police have increased police patrols within the area in response.

The teenager was taken to hospital with serious head injuries on Friday and remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Police are appealing to anybody in the Woodside area on Friday night for information.
