Taunton Deane 'needs 15,000 new homes'

Taunton Deane needs 15,000 new homes in the next 16 years, according to a borough council report.

The document also states the area should aim to create at least 11,000 new jobs over the same time.

The authority has revised the previous government's house building figures, which said it needed about 22,000 new homes.

The report is due to be discussed by the council's community scrutiny committee on Tuesday.
