Police raid on 'cannabis factory' in Watchet

Police have arrested a 43-year-old man following a raid on a house in Somerset believed to have been being used as a cannabis factory.

About 80 plants were found at the address in Watchet, which has not been divulged, were taken away for analysis.

A police spokesperson said they believed the plants discovered at the house were worth £24,000.

The arrested man was taken to Minehead police station and released on bail until a later date.

Hydroponic growing equipment was also confiscated at the property.

Last week, cannabis plants and suspected illegal pills were seized in a raid on a house in nearby Dunster.
