The police watchdog is investigating a police force's contact with a man found dead at his Somerset home on 16 August.
Timothy O'Shea's body was discovered at his home in Rockwell Green, Wellington.
Two Avon and Somerset PCSOs had attended his home the previous day after a neighbour expressed concern for his welfare.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said one PCSO spoke to Mr O'Shea, 61, and another spoke to the neighbour, before they both left.
IPCC commissioner Rebecca Marsh said: "My condolences go to Mr O'Shea's family and friends for their loss.
"The IPCC investigation will be proportionate and will establish what actions these two officers took when they attended a call expressing concern for Mr O'Shea's welfare."
