Fire crews free man trapped in machinery in Bridgwater

A man has been rescued after becoming trapped in machinery at an industrial unit in Somerset.

Fire crews were called to the Colley Lane Industrial Estate in Bridgwater at about 1545 on Monday after reports that a worker was trapped by his ankle.

Paramedics, firefighters and engineers on the site all helped to free him from the machinery.

He was taken to hospital on a spinal board where he is still being treated. His condition is not known.
