Cruelty and neglect charges after two babies injured

Two people have been charged after two babies were found to have serious injuries.

Avon and Somerset Police said the man and woman had both been charged with cruelty and neglect. The man has also been charged with wounding.

A police spokeswoman said: "Both have appeared in court and have been remanded in police custody.

"Officers are working very closely with child protection services at this time."

She said a court order was in place protecting the identity of the babies and that it would be inappropriate to provide further details.
