Chew Magna flood defence work completed

Work to protect 69 properties at risk of flooding in Chew Magna, Somerset, has been completed.

The £325,000 project, which took place more than six months, was funded by Defra and the Environment Agency.

The work was overseen by Bath and North East Somerset and Chew Magna Parish councils.

Representatives from the organisations involved will be at an information event from 1800 BST to 2000 BST on Tuesday at the Upper Old School Rooms.
