A 13-year-old girl who died after a crash in Taunton on Wednesday night has been named by police.

Amy Hofmeister was riding a bike when she was struck by a Vauxhall Vectra.

Avon and Somerset Police sealed off the roundabout where Blackbrook Way intersects with Chestnut Drive and Lisieux Way following the crash.

Officers said that two men, aged 41 and 37, and a 19-year-old woman had been arrested in connection with the incident.

A police spokesman said the two men remained in custody and the woman had been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident, which happened at 1930 BST on 15 June, to come forward.

More than 1,500 people have joined a Facebook group set up in Amy's memory.
