Woman in Horsington milk tanker crash named by police

A woman who died when her car was in a collision with a milk tanker in south Somerset has been named by police.

Gemma Palmer, 29, was travelling on Higher Road in Horsington at about midnight last Thursday when the crash happened.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said Ms Palmer, from nearby Templecombe, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The force's collision investigation unit has appealed for witnesses.
