Biker dies in Glastonbury roundabout accident

A motorcyclist has died after losing control of his bike on a roundabout in Somerset, police have said.

The man, aged 49, was riding along the A39 in Glastonbury at about 02:00 BST on Monday when the crash happened.

It is thought he rode across Tin Bridge roundabout before losing control of the bike and sliding across the road onto the opposite side of the carriageway.

He was treated at the scene but later died. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
