Road reopens after possible grenade find in Somerset

Police have reopened part of the A39 in Somerset after they investigated a possible hand grenade which had been found by the side of the road.

A member of the public found the device and reported it to police.

The road was temporarily closed between Nether Stowey and Kilve while Avon and Somerset Police attended with a bomb disposal team.

The object was destroyed in a controlled explosion.
