A pub in Somerset has been severely damaged by fire.

Devon Fire and Rescue said it received "numerous calls" in the early hours of Sunday about the fire at the Bell Inn in Preston Road, Yeovil.

The fire service said much of the ground and first floors, as well as part of the roof, were engulfed by flames. Nobody was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, the service added. The pub is part of the Hungry Horse chain.
