Casino plans for Bath on display

Plans for Bath's first casino have gone on display as part of a public consultation into the scheme.

The £14m project set for Saw Close in the city centre will also include two restaurants and a hotel.

Developer Deeley Freed hopes to submit a planning application to Bath and North East Somerset Council in the autumn.

The public can view the plans at Chimichanga restaurant in Bluecoat House on Thursday.

The casino will be run by Groupe Partouche SA, in partnership with Global Gaming Ventures, which has been awarded a provisional licence by Bath and North East Somerset Council.

If the planning application is successful, building work will begin in summer 2014 with the casino opening in autumn 2015.
