Woman airlifted to hospital from Glastonbury festival

A woman has been airlifted to hospital from the Glastonbury festival site in Somerset.

A spokesman for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance said the woman had suffered a spinal injury and had been taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

It is not yet known how the woman received the injury.

About 138,000 revellers have descended on Worthy Farm for the famous music festival which began on Wednesday and will end on Sunday.
