Man charged with attempted murder in Bath

A man has been charged with attempted murder following an assault in Bath at the weekend.

Police said a man and a woman suffered stab injuries on Pines Way close to Victoria Bridge in the early hours of Saturday.

Both were treated in hospital but released shortly afterwards.

David Thurstone, 37, of Morford Street, is due to appear at Bath Magistrates' Court, charged with two counts of attempted murder on Monday.

The BBC understands the male victim is the cousin of the Bristol boxing promoter, Michael Graydon, who recently died in Monaco.
