A DJ from Somerset who has been missing for more than seven weeks has been found dead in woodland.

Robert Makgill, 45, also known as DJ Dazzler, left his home in Bruton on 8 July saying he was going to London.

He was an interior designer, but was better known as a DJ on the West Country music scene.

A body found in woodland on Saturday morning near Wincanton in Somerset is believed to be his. Police say his death is not thought to be suspicious.

Mr Makgill's brother, Ian, said Robert was a "troubled man who had lost his way".

"Our family would hate for others to take the same path. If you think you might need help, the Samaritans will take your call day or night."

A Facebook page had been set up by Mr Makgill's family to help find him. In a final post they paid tribute to his "extraordinary charm and his ability to light up a room with happiness".
