Murder charge over woman's stab death near Barnsley

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman who was stabbed to death in South Yorkshire.
Pamela Hardy, 48, was found by police at a house in Foley Avenue, Wombwell, near Barnsley, on Saturday. She died a short while later in hospital.
Sebastian Hardy, 21, of Foley Avenue, was remanded in custody by Barnsley magistrates. Police have not confirmed whether he was related to Mrs Hardy.
He will next appear via video link at Sheffield Crown Court on 29 September.
