Man killed in Balby mobility scooter crash named


An 88-year-old man who died after his mobility scooter was in collision with a car in South Yorkshire has been named by police.

James Bonar, of Bernard Road, Edlington, suffered multiple injuries when his scooter collided with a Peugeot 206.

South Yorkshire Police said the incident happened on Broomhouse Lane in Balby, Doncaster, on 11 October.

A family statement said his death had left a "great hole in all our lives".
