A 16-year-old girl remains seriously ill in hospital after a crash in which three other teenagers died, South Yorkshire Police have said.
The crash happened on Monday night near Mexborough when a silver Vauxhall Corsa collided with a VW Golf.
Jonathan Scott, from Conisbrough and Robert Tepper of Mexborough, both aged 17, and a girl aged 16 died.
Police said another 16-year-old girl who was also in the Corsa was in a critical but stable condition.
The girl was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary after the collision, which happened just after 2000 GMT on Monday.
The 16-year-old girl who died has not yet been named.
Many floral tributes have been laid near scene of the crash.
Witness appeal
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said the crash happened when the Corsa was overtaking a silver Fiat Punto on Adwick Road travelling out of Mexborough towards Adwick-upon-Dearne near the junction with Crow Tree Lane.
A Vauxhall Astra had just overtaken the Fiat successfully.
The Corsa then tried overtaking the Fiat.
The spokesman said: "Before it could complete the manoeuvre the Corsa collided head-on with a Volkswagen Golf travelling in the opposite direction."
A 19-year-old Swinton man and an 18-year-old man from Mexborough were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but later bailed pending further inquiries.
The Golf driver, an elderly man, suffered minor injuries.
South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact the force.
