Arrests over stabbing on John Street in Sheffield

Eight men have been arrested after a disturbance in Sheffield which left one man in hospital with serious stab wounds.

Police were called to premises on John Street at about 2240 GMT on Tuesday.

Three men were injured and taken to the Northern General Hospital. Two were later discharged while the third man remains in hospital seriously hurt.

The road has been cordoned off while detectives carry out inquiries. Police have made an appeal for information.
