About 500 people were forced to leave their homes overnight after a rubbish fire spread to buildings in Doncaster.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at Brunswick Square in Stainforth at about 2100 BST on Friday.
A 200m exclusion zone was set up after acetylene cylinders were found at the site and homes were evacuated.
Most people have been able to return to their homes but some areas remain cordoned off.
Four fire engines were still at the site earlier.
The fire spread to a shed and adjacent building, the fire service said.
An investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of the fire.
