Arrest over woman's crash death in Sheffield

A driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving after a crash that left one woman dead and a man seriously hurt in Sheffield.

The collision between a black Honda Accord and a gold taxi happened at Crookes Road at 0415 BST.

The woman in the Honda passenger seat died and the 31-year-old male taxi driver suffered broken bones.

The Honda driver, 46, from Pitsmoor, was arrested after failing an alcohol test.
