World Cup referee Howard Webb receives MBE

World Cup final referee Howard Webb, from South Yorkshire, has received his MBE at Buckingham Palace.

Prince Charles presented Mr Webb with his MBE for services to football.

He is the first Englishman since 1974 to referee a World Cup final, officiating in Spain's 1-0 win over Holland in South Africa.

Mr Webb who has been a Fifa-listed referee since 2005, is currently on a five-year break from South Yorkshire Police force, where he is a sergeant.
