Sheffield attack victim in 'critical' state

A man is critically ill in hospital after being attacked in an unprovoked assault on a street in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police said the 44-year-old man, who has not been named, suffered serious head injuries on his way home from a night out.

Officers said the man suffered serious head injuries in the incident on Archer Road late on Saturday night.

Police are looking for two white men in their teens or early 20s who could have been in the company of a woman.
