A woman has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a 13-year-old girl stabbed to death in a South Yorkshire park.

Casey-Lyanne Kearney died after she was attacked in Elmfield Park, Doncaster, on 14 February.

Hannah Bonser, 26, of Cusworth House, Doncaster, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court via videolink. She is also charged with possessing two knives.

A trial date was set for 2 July. She was remanded in custody to appear again on 26 June.

Casey-Lyanne, from Rossington, was on her way to meet a friend when she was stabbed.

She managed to call police herself to say she had been attacked and was treated at the scene by police and paramedics before being taken to hospital where she died.
