Man charged after Sheffield chemical find

A 34-year-old man has been charged after police found chemicals at a house in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police put a 100m cordon in place around Ridgehill Avenue, Intake, on Friday after the discovery.

The 34-year-old has been charged with two counts of possessing an explosive under section four of the Explosive Substances Act (1883).

He is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates Court on Monday.

A second man was arrested and released on bail until June pending further inquiries.
