Images showing four off-road bikers have been released in connection with a hit and run on a girl of three who was "left for dead" in the road.

Olivia Pollard, from Rotherham, suffered serious head and eye injuries when she was hit by one or more motorbikes which failed to stop.

She was with her mother getting off a bus on Ridgeway in East Herringthorpe when the collision happened on 3 July.

The youngster was airlifted to Sheffield Children's Hospital.

South Yorkshire Police said Olivia had since been released from hospital and was recovering well.

Officers want to trace the bikers seen in CCTV images.

Insp Geoff Young said: "Through the amount of CCTV we have now been able to recover and collate, we definitely know that there was more than one group of off-road motorbikes in the area at the same time as the collision and we are keen to identify the owners and riders."
