Second arrest over Sheffield student murder

A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a student died in an attack in Sheffield.

Anowar Tagabo, 25, a University of Bradford student, was assaulted outside a nightclub on Carver Street on 25 May. He died in hospital nine days later.

A 24-year-old man, from Sheffield, has been arrested and was being questioned, South Yorkshire Police said.

Mansoor Kitir, a relative of Mr Tagabo, said his cousin's death had been "absolutely tragic".

A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Tagabo, who was from Sudan, had suffered a head injury.

Another 24-year-old man, arrested on Saturday, was released on bail on Sunday, police said.
