Tiger teeth and claws: Sheffield woman charged

A 29-year-old woman has been charged with trading in endangered species after parts of a tiger were found in a property in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police said tiger claws and teeth were recovered from a property in the city.

Catherine Emberton, of Gleadless Road, has been charged with three offences under the Control of Trade in Endangered Species Regulations and one offence of fraud.

She will appear in court next week.

Police said the raid was carried out in conjunction with the UK National Wildlife Crime Unit as part of an investigation into the illegal trade in tiger parts on the internet.
