Punk rockers Buzzcocks and rap pioneers The Sugarhill Gang will headline Sheffield's Tramlines festival, organisers have said.

Martha Reeves, Billy Bragg and US rockers Slaves are also part of the first wave of acts announced for the seventh year of Tramlines.

Last year Public Enemy, Sister Sledge and The Cribs performed as 100,000 people attended the festival.

Director Sarah Nulty said she was looking to top "our best year ever".

The event takes place in multiple venues and outdoor spaces across the city from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July. It introduced admission fees for the fist time in 2013.
