A man has been shot in the leg in a Sheffield street.

South Yorkshire Police were carrying out door-to-door inquiries on Saturday after the incident at about 10:45 BST on Friday.

The 21-year-old suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg in Doe Royd Crescent. No-one has been arrested.

The man's injury is not life-threatening and he is currently in hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.
