Pottery firm may bring some jobs back to Stoke-on-Trent
A Stoke-on-Trent pottery firm which switched production to China is considering bringing some of the work back to the area.
Burslem-based BHW Ceramics outsourced its production to China six years ago.
However, BHW managing director John Bailey said: "We have a foothold in this country that I'd very much like to make bigger."
He said as the economy in China grows and wages rise, he expected a lot of firms to return to the UK.
Mr Bailey said it was becoming too expensive for many firms to remain in China.
Over the last decade, thousands of jobs have been lost in the UK pottery industry, with firms such as ceramic giants Waterford Wedgwood and Royal Worcester and Spode falling into administration.
