Crewe man guilty of causing toddler multiple injuries

A man from Crewe has been found guilty of causing multiple injuries to a one-year-old girl.
The toddler was admitted to the town's Leighton Hospital in February 2009 with fractured bones, burns and a battered face, Chester Crown Court heard.
Michael Quilty, 26, was convicted of cruelty by assaulting a child. His girlfriend Stacey Bride, 24, was guilty of perverting the course of justice.
The couple from Warrington Avenue, Crewe, had previously admitted neglect.
The girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, now lives with her sister and foster parents.
Quilty and Bride are due to be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on 26 August.
