Detectives investigating the suspected murder of a missing woman from Burton-upon-Trent have traced a person they wished to speak to.

Police released footage of a person seen pushing a case which was emptied at a recycling centre in Shobnall Road on 21 July.

Sylwia Ciapcinska, 24, of Ash Street, was last seen shopping in the town on 20 July.

Thomasz Sobczak, of Ash Street, has been charged with her murder.

Her body has not been found.

Police said a 65-year-old woman came forward after footage of someone taking a wheeled trolley into the tip was released.

She has now been eliminated from inquiries.

Ms Ciapcinska, a qualified teacher who graduated with a master's degree in psychology, arrived in the UK from Poland on 2 July to work for a distribution firm called Amethyst Logistics based at Fradley Park, near Lichfield.

She was planning to stay in the UK for up to 12 months, earning money to help her save for a deposit on a house in Poland, Staffordshire Police said.

Her black suitcase is missing from her Ash Street home along with her flowered pumps and Nokia 6103 flip-style mobile phone.
