Driver killed in crash near Stone identified

A motorist who died in a car crash in Staffordshire on Friday has been named by police.

Barry Thomas Davenport, 57, from Stafford, was driving a blue Nissan, which was the only vehicle involved in the crash on Sandon Lane, Milwich.

Mr Davenport, from Salisbury Road, was pronounced dead at the scene near Stone, after the accident at about 1930 BST.

The Staffordshire force has appealed for any witnesses to contact officers.
