Fire tackled at derelict school in Stoke-on-Trent

Fire crews have spent the night tackling a blaze at a derelict school in Stoke-on-Trent.

Firefighters were called to the old Clarice Cliff primary school building, on Marlborough Road, Longton, at about 2240 BST on Sunday.

Four crews arrived to find the school "well alight" and firefighters were at the premises until 0315 BST, a fire service spokeswoman said.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
