Fire tackled at animal feed site in Stretton

Firefighters have tackled a blaze at an animal feed factory in Staffordshire.

The fire broke out at Rumenco in Derby Road, Stretton, Burton-upon-Trent, at about 1020 GMT, the fire service said.

Nearby residents were urged to keep their doors and windows closed as a precaution while the fire was tackled.

No-one was injured and staff were evacuated from the premises. Roads near the factory were temporarily closed.
