Staffordshire private school taken over by parents

A Staffordshire private school has been saved from closure by a group of parents.

The trustees of St Dominic's Priory in Stone said last month they could no longer support the school financially.

But a parents' action group has now been handed control and members say they will set up a new charitable trust to run the school.

The Catholic school is open to all faith denominations taking boys aged two to 11 and girls aged two to 18.
