Radio presenter Sam Plank's funeral is held

The funeral service for Sam Plank, a radio broadcaster in Staffordshire for three decades, has been held.

The procession started in Bucknall and made its way around Stoke-on-Trent, pausing at the statue of Sir Stanley Matthews, before finishing in Burslem.

The service was held at the Swan Bank Methodist Church at midday.

Mr Plank, real name Terry Hilton, 62, had had cancer. He presented on BBC Radio Stoke for 17 years and also worked on other stations in the area.

He was given the Freedom of the City of Stoke-on-Trent and raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities.
