Man jailed for Burton-on-Trent stabbing murder
A 46-year-old man has been found guilty of murdering a father-of-two from Staffordshire.
Connor Upton, 21, from Burton-on-Trent, was stabbed outside a nightclub in the town in June last year.
George Lawrence, also from Burton-on-Trent, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court to life imprisonment. He must serve at least 22 years.
Det Insp Darren Harding, of Staffordshire Police, said Mr Upton was "murdered in cold-blood".
"Lawrence stabbed Connor and then ran from the scene in panic. His actions have robbed two young girls of a father and devastated Connor's family and friends," Det Insp Harding said.
