Four hurt as car leaves A50 and ends up in shrubbery
Four people have been taken to hospital road after a car left the road and ended up in dense shrubbery.
The car left the A50 near Blythe Bridge in Stoke-on-Trent at about 17:20 BST on Friday, ambulance crews said.
A woman, aged in her 50s, was seriously injured and airlifted to hospital, and man suffered multiple injuries.
Two others were treated at the scene for minor injuries and transferred to University Hospital North Staffordshire for further treatment.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival at the scene, crews found a car that had left the road and was in dense shrubbery.
"A woman travelling in the car suffered multiple leg injuries and was trapped in the vehicle.
"She was treated at the scene and was extricated from the vehicle."
The road was closed to allow the air ambulances to land.
