Murder charge after Stoke-on-Trent man stabbed

A 33-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man who died after being stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent.

A post-mortem examination revealed Dalbagh Singh Malhi, 29, from the High Lane, Burslem, area of the city, died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Police were called to Wellfield Road, Bentilee, on Sunday, and Mr Malhi was taken to hospital but died.

The 33-year-old man will appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Fenton on Tuesday, police said.
