Cheadle deaths: Karen Climpson killed Mark Chandler and herself

A Staffordshire woman took her own life after killing her partner at their home, a coroner has said.

The bodies of 42-year-old Mark Chandler and Karen Climpson, 46, were discovered at their home in Ness Grove, Cheadle, on 2 January.

An inquest in Hartshill heard Mr Chandler had suffered multiple stab wounds and had died from a neck wound.

Coroner Ian Smith recorded a verdict of unlawful death. His verdict for Ms Climpson was suicide.

She was found to have died from a stab wound to her neck.
