Seven injured in two-car crash in Stoke-on-Trent
A 12-year-old boy has suffered serious facial injuries in a crash in Stoke-on-Trent in which six other people were also injured.
Ambulance crews were called to the collision between two cars in Meir Heath at about 21:20 GMT on Sunday.
The boy was given emergency treatment at the scene and taken to hospital with a woman, a girl of nine and a 20-month child, who all suffered minor injuries.
A woman and two girls in the second car also suffered minor injuries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said both cars had suffered "substantial damage" in the collision at the junction of Hilderstone Road and Knenhall Lane.
"Considering the damage to the vehicles, the occupants are fortunate not to have suffered more serious injuries," he said.
